Sketchers USE Inc just sent out a press release that it has struck a global endorsement contract with superstar Ashlee Simpson. Under the terms and conditions of the deal Ashlee will promote the companies shoes in a worldwide advertising effort through to the end of 2007.
“I grew up wearing SKECHERS. Like me, they are not afraid of taking chances and having fun,” said Ashlee, who was recently declared “One of the reigning queens of pop music!” by NBC’s The Today Show. “I’m happy to be a part of the brand and hope to add a few more pairs to my closet.”
Ashlee will be promoting the entire line of Sketchers shoes including active, sport and its own fashion footware lineup. The contract takes effect now but the first ad’s likely wont be seen till late 2006 giving Simpson just enough time to finish off her North American tour.
